The First Filter is a Polypropylene Sediment Filter with a 5 micron rating, this catches all the larger particles of Sand, Dirt ,and Rust which would otherwise contaminate the second filter. This cartridge has a maximum flow rate of approx 2.5 litres per minute and a service life of approx 5000 litres.
The Second Filter is a Granular Activated Carbon Filter composed of High - Performance Activated Carbon, this is effective in removing Chlorine, Odour, Organic Contaminants and Pesticides. This cartridge also has a maximum flow rate of approx 2.5 litres per minute and a service life of approx 5000 litres.
