Lock Snapping

Lock snapping doesn't carry the same mystique as lock bumping but it is equally effective. Thieves can break into your home within a matter of seconds by simply applying enough force to the cylinder lock, usually with a pair of mole grips or a claw hammer, and snapping it at its weakest point. Lock snapping obviously leaves much more evidence of a break in than lock bumping, but the result is the same.

The Pextra24 is a premium Kitemark approved cylinder with the anti-snap solution offer you greater protection. The existing security features are greatly enhanced with an additional renforced steel plate which significantly increases the cylinders resistance to sapping when under attack. This applies when fitted without any additional security rose or security handle

The pExtra24 security cylinder has a patented branch groove that canot be copied with common key milling machines like Bosch "Easy Entry". The optional blocking pin recognizes if an illegally made duplicate key has been inserted into the cylinder. If the branch groove is missing, the blocking pin moves into the key profile and prevents the cylinder from being turned in one direction.
